What are Rules

Rules or laws come in two distinct varieties which could be described simply as incontravenable and contravenable. There are laws that can be broken easily like ignoring a do not walk on grass sign and laws that cannot be broken like you must breathe oxygen to live. It is not possible to live without breathing whereas it is possible to walk on the grass if you don’t mind annoying the person who put the sign in place.

Within the confines of this limited article we will look at breakable laws and leave the unbreakable ones to the Gods to ponder, after al they chose to create them for some reason or other.

Breaking the Rules

There is no rule anywhere except in the head of the conditioned that states you should work for Walmart for $7.50 per hour without benefits or vacation. Yet so many thousands of members of the greatest species ever known to inhabit the universe choose to do just this.

There are no rhino’s or monkeys who choose to work for Walmart, only the alpha species chooses to do this voluntarily. So the question must be asked; why would so many superbly equipped assassins choose to ignore their God given gifts and work for a corporation under conditions that equate to slavery without benefits or vacation time.

The answer is rules or laws. Rules/laws are created to limit the options available to the most adaptable species that ever existed in the known universe. By the mere imposition of  law, a God given right is disallowed. If the sign says 35 mph then 40 mph is against the law even though the car and road are quite capable of 120mph. Most people deludedly believe that laws are there to be obeyed and in this belief limit their opportunities to live abundantly.

It is interesting to note that the walmarts of this world choose to ignore law or find a way around compliance and in this non compliance prosper. This alone should be proof positive that law has disastrous consequences for those who for whatever reason choose to comply.

Most laws however are not enacted with public safety in mind. In fact most laws are not enacted with the public in mind. Most laws are created and enacted with a small group of very rich people in mind.

Careful observation will reveal that while the vast majority of people obey the law, the small group who the law was enacted to benefit actually treat the laws with contempt by totally ignoring their existence. After all we all know that taxes are for the little people.

Oh! yes there are sanctions for breaking the laws if you are foolish enough to get caught and even more foolish not to be rich enough to be able to afford better legal counsel than the State.

Here’s the thing, if breaking a law nets you $1000.00 and the sanction (fine) for breaking this law is $500.00 then logically we should break this law at every given opportunity, and this I would contend is exactly what the wealthy had in mind when they sent their lobbyists to bribed our noble elected officials to enact the legislation in the first place, and the chances are that the rich guy actually paid his attorney to write the bill in the first place.

So the successful rich guy gets to get what he wants by treating the rules as a tool to be manipulated as required while the rest of us get to sit on a couch sipping Prozac from a straw while being drip fed brain numbing reality TV designed and scripted to ensure that the vast hordes remain compliant in their role as resource.

Live by Your Rules

The only real possibility for success within society is to forget about the rules you or God didn’t create and choose a set of rules to live by that have your benefit and good as a core principle.

One should live by what I choose to call the white shark rule. The white shark rule simply states that if you must swim with white shark make sure that you are in a cage with a nuclear spear gun or two handy.

The reality of white shark is that they are harmless to you unless you put yourself into harms way. Knowing the capabilities of man the one in danger is the white shark.

So when you are in the presence of white shark don’t exceed speed limits or rob banks with guns, etc. Simply keep your feet firmly planted on solid ground and do what you want. The shark is only dangerous when you are stupid enough to enter his world unprepared.

There are No Rules

In reality there are no rules with the exception of this one law. If you are not consuming you are being consumed, if you are not alive you are dead. Everything else is up for grabs and is dependant on your stomach for risk.

You can shoot, steal and/or kill any time you choose if you are willing to meet the price, that is our core ability as the top of the food chain alpha species.

Taking the recent US administration into consideration the price of doing what you want whenever you want however you want to anyone you want is relevant and in direction proportion to power you hold over them.

As the Chinese philosopher is reputed to have said and I quote: You can have what you can take, you can keep what you can hold. Now there is a rule if ever I saw one.

How to Fix the Economy

Is there an elephant in the room or better yet in the economy?

It is 21 months since Lehman Brothers failed emitting shock waves that rocked the economies of the world to their very core, the housing market collapsed, foreclosure became an everyday ordinary event, the money supply dried up and jobless figures soared upwards.

Countless commentators babble on about the reasons and legislators formulate countless bills to ensure that the events of September 2008 will never occur again.

And I just woke up and a question keeps rattling around in my head. What exactly was/is the problem? What exactly caused the economic collapse that we are now suffering through?

Ask anyone you know what caused the economic collapse and you will get as many answers as people asked. The truth is that no one knows what caused the economy to collapse. One day everything was fine, the banks where lending, jobs where available, houses prices where high, confidence was abundant and the next day Mount Vesuvius erupted on wall Street and the rest is like Lehman Brothers is as they say history.

So what exactly happened to bring about the economic meltdown was it really sub prime lending or is that way too simple a hook to hang the blame on.

Is it possible that the problem is the system itself?

Is it possible that a natural function of our financial system is meltdown?

Is it really possible that most people are supposed to lose their shirt every ten to fifteen years so that the aristocracy of the finalcal universe can harvest what sowed?

The large pink elephant in your living room that won’t go away is there because you want to believe any old junk that suits you and deny the realities that are jumping screaming right before your eyes.

It’s the economy stupid.

So the banks are too big to fail and George Bush speaks reality into existence.

Imagine just for a moment what would happen if all the banks and Wall Street vanished right now. Everyone would still be breathing oxygen, everyone who didn’t from panic that is. And if everyone decided to go on as before everything would go on as before with the exception of financial institutions.

The government who prints the money could control it and dish it out as it saw fit. I mean who do we need banks in the first place? Oh! You don’t know. We need banks because rich people need somewhere safe to store their cash and because banks are a great way of enslaving the vast hordes under mountains of debt.

The system didn’t fail in September 2008; it did exactly what it is supposed to do. The system isn’t broken it is operating at optimum performance. This is as good as it gets.

The 10% unemployment rate for the nation when examined closely holds an almost 40% blue collar factor. This recession like all recessions is a poor mans recession. It’s the Status Quo baby. Poor people are supposed to be poor and rich folk are supposed to get richer at their expense. And man is this system working just exactly as it was meant to work.

The elephant in the room is there to tell you that you are one stupid mother. The elephant in the room is there to tell you that the system isn’t broken and doesn’t need fixing. The elephant in the room is there to tell you that all the kings’ horses and all the kings’ men are telling you what you need to hear to keep you from waking up to the realities of capitalism.

Before you burst a blood vessel, no I am not a commie; however I have been known to look at the world without the blindfold of sacred cows that the masses wear.

Socialism is supposed to be a societal system with people as it basis. I say “supposed” because socialism in practice has turned out to be nothing more than oppressive monarchy. This is not socialisms fault this is merely opportunistic men at work. All law in a socialist society should be formulated for the protection of people.

Capitalism is a societal system with money as its basis. All law in a capitalistic society is formulated for the protection of money.

Within a capitalistic society people are viewed as a resource for the creation of wealth.

However there is a need to keep the unruly masses under control while they are worked to the bone for the good of their betters, so they are fed garbage like liberty, morality, religion and patriotism.

There is nothing like a conscience to control a man.

There is nothing like conditioning to control a conscience.

There is nothing like money to control conditioning.

So your homework for tonight is to turn off the TV, radio and any other source of garbage that is telling you what your betters want you to believe and examine the evidence that the elephant has assembled for your perusal.

Of course you could decide that it is easier to do nothing and bitch.

The Electorate of Massachusetts bamboozled by Republican slight of tongue and lulled to sleep by Democratic lethargy went to the polls and elected Scott Brown to represent them in the US Senate seat formelry help by the venerable Ted Kennedy who incidentally has by now turned 4,337 times in his grave.

Scott navigated his way to the Senate masquerading as a man of the people in his working man barn coat and pick up truck boasting 200K miles. Not to mention the fact that he was a male model of sorts and you know how star struck we all are so it wasn’t really a fair fight to match him up against a failed litigator who had mellowed to senility as Attorney General of the People’s Republic.

Anyway to cut a long story short Scott of the people has done an incredible hulk on us and metamorphosed into Scott of the Street, Wall Street that is.

Turns out that rather than represent the puritans of the commonwealth as he was elected to, he has decided to go with the smell of money and represent the robber barons of Wall Street, yes the very thieves who where rewarded for their crimes against America with tarp money instead of the federal detention centers they so richly deserved.

Scott you are a cad, you lied your way to Washington and now that you are there you fully intend to do what all your cronies do, line you pockets against the oncoming financial famine you and the likes of you have set the American people up for.

They say the people get the government that they deserve but that was a long time ago. These days we get the government that the media tells us we need.

But then again if it was up to you would you choose to side with some stiff “masshole” just because he voted for you or Goldman Sachs with all their lovely money.

Looks like the British are still up to their old habits. One Rodney Morgan and his family informed the Ritz Carlton in Naples Florida that they did not wish to be served or have to deal with:

• Blacks
• People of Color
• People with foreign accents.

When will these people ever get it. They are not special, Britannia doe not rule the waves, they won the war because America and Russia won it for them.

I wonder would Mr. Morgan take exception to a Black man saving his life if he was drowning.

The reality of our sad world is that every dangerous issue we now face was brought about by colonization. The British Empire was at the forefront of this systematic rape and plunder of the resources and people of the non white world.

Every single American soldier who lost his/her life in the Gulf and Afghanistan campaigns can thank England for the mess they left the middle east in when they decided they could make more money plundering the assets of those countries by withdrawing their troops, installing a puppet leader and letting their corporate dogs loose to do the plundering for them.

The first gulf war started because Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait which was and is a minnow state set up by the British to reward a loyal puppet. Saddam merely wanted to reunite his country and if that was wrong then the US civil war fought to keep the Union together was also wrong.

For 800 hundred years the superior British have sat on Ireland. Prior to the famine of the 1840′s there where close to 12 million residents in Ireland. Today over 150 years later despite the high birthrate of the catholic Irish the population, the island’s population is in the 5 million range.

It should be remembered that the famine that struck Ireland in the 1840′s only affected the potato crop. Nothing else was affected yet over one million Irish died from starvation because all other food was taken from the country by our English masters.

So here we are in 2010 and the racist Mr Morgan still does not want to have blacks, coloureds or foreign accents in his almighty British presence.

Shame on him and shame on the Ritz organization for attempting to honour his racial prejudices.

How can America ever claim to be the home of the free and the land of the brave when prejudice like that of Mr Morgan is accepted by premier name brand organizations like the Ritz merely for money.

The statement without commitment nothing is possible includes the reverse statement that everything that is present in your existence right now is the result of a commitment your have made. In reality you have committed to be as you are now.

If you are as you are now and there is something missing from your life like love or money or a relationship you might say hey I never committed to be poor or lonely.

The truth is that though you didn’t commit to be poor or lonely you did commit to live in a way that had a side effect or symptom like poverty or loneliness.

The reality of existence on the human level is that you cannot commit to be rich or fall in love. Love and money are symptoms of conditions or states.

You could commit to becoming president and in achieving this goal wealth would be a side effect or symptom.

Most people who have no money will make statements like I have to make some money, they will think for hours and days of making money. This is a futile waste of grey matter because ythey are focusing on a symptom and not on the condition that causes the symptom.

For example there is a condition existing in my left knee which causes it to become swollen and inflamed and very painful. These symptoms are easily remedied by taking some anti inflammatory medication. However as soon as I stop taking the anti inflammatory the swelling and pain comes back. I have remedied a symptom but not the cause which is the condition.

Money and the contentment which come from a good relationship are symptoms of conditions. It is not possible to commit to a symptom. It is possible to commit to a condition.

Remember commitment is tantamount to jumping off a cliff. Once you jump there is no way back. Once you commit there is no way back. If there is a way back you have not committed.

So if you would like to change some of the symptoms currently occurring in your life look to the condition that is causing them and commit to replacing this condition with a condition that will have the symptoms you desire.

You are as you are because you have chosen at a deep committed level within your being to be as you are. You are not poor or wealthy or lonely or successful you are merely experiencing the symptoms of your chosen conditions.

Your life is a symptom of your commitments.

Tomorrow today will be yesterday.

Are you Teaching your Children to be Poor

Imagine if you can that you are a Chinese gentleman who has taken it upon yourself to teach your children to speak Italian with sufficient proficiency to allow them to be at home in Italy and prosper there. However there is one minor annoying detail in your carefully crafted plan. You don’t have a single word of Italian within your repertoire.

So after many years of your masterful teaching your children venture out into the great land of Italy to make their fortune and immediately fall flat on their stupid very un Italian asses. They are decimated, depressed and find themselves wandering about in a foggy abyss, why does nothing work out for me they wonder, am I so different, and as we all know the words that occupy our minds tend to define us and so the Chinese mans kids metamorphose into dreamless servile creatures, the perfect resource to their betters, the fluent speaking Italian classes.

Are you teaching your children to be poor? Chances are that if you are poor then despite your best intentions you are instructing your offspring in the art of poverty.

It really is only basic logic that if rich people teach their children to be rich then it must follow that poor people teach their children to be poor.

And if you are one of the supposedly lucky middle class who inhabit our oh so abundant planet then you are teaching your kids to be middle class.

It’s not your fault, you are not a bad parent, you are merely observing the nature of status quo and acting out as you have been conditioned to act.

The only remedy available to you other than the lottery is to carefully observe your actions and the thoughts that drive them in an attempt to uncover the pre installed virus that has been installed into your super computer (brain) to sabotage you hopes dreams and aspirations and render you useful to the Italians.

Knowing why you are happy to remain poor and servile and why you are teaching your kids to follow in your footsteps might not change your status as bottom feeder on a planet where you are designed to be top of the food chain, however the mere understanding of your affliction might make your daily dose of humble pie easier to swallow.

Big But Theory

Imagine if you had a massive nuclear device enclosed within an impregnable container completely sealed against any escape and your denoted this massive bomb, what do you think would happen. Well nothing would happen outside the nuclear enclosure because the explosion could not escape and spew its matter into the space outside the enclosed chamber.

Even the word theory suggests that science is best guessing

So at the time of the big bang there was this tightly compressed thing that for some reason decided to explode into being creating the expanding universe that we now exist within and are part of.

If the big bang theory is accepted and eventually proven correct it only explains the creation of matter. It would be far better named the big bang theory of matter.

Where did the space come from?

So we are willing to accept that some time billions of years ago there was a compressed thing that exploded into the universe we now call home. The question remains where did the space that our universe is exploding and expanding into come from.

Did/does space predate the big bang? Was space always or did the big bang like a PC come with space pre installed. I don’t know, do you?

Science believes what suits its theories.

Doesn’t it sometimes seem that science is ready willing and able to believe any old garbage that suits what it wants to believe while at the same time discounting if not totally ignoring glaring holes that are screaming “but”

The Big But Theory

The big but theory simply states that if space predates the universe created by the big bang theory then space is possibly eternal while matter is time bound and in passing.

Also there is the probable possibility that space prior to the big bang was populated by matter/ material that was not in any way related to the stuff created by the big bang.

Conclusion

In conclusion we must arrive at the conclusion that like any explosion the big bang will finally run out of propellant and fall to wherever big bangs fall leaving space untouched and unmarked by the one time fart that invaded its pristine presence.

Yes there it is the universe including our illustrious selves is nothing more than an inconvenient bad mannered unwelcomed intrusion into space accompanied by an unfortunate symptom or side effect which creates a illusion sometimes referred to as time. Matter x Distance

Regulation Deregulation

Regulation, deregulation, who cares. The problem is not that financial institutions are regulated or not regulated the problem is that when it comes to regulation there is a very uneven playing field. Imagine a football game where there where different rules for the teams.

In the economy in which we are all obliged to exist and participate the powers that be i.e. the federal government has decided in its wisdom that the average citizen and small business should be regulated to the extreme while the large corporations should be regulated sparingly if at all.

Then there is the financial aspect to regulation where in most small players cannot afford to go up against the State or Federal Government while the large corporations are lawyer and accountant rich, not to mention shareholder capital to bandy about with impunity.

I personally am all for free markets and zero regulation with the caveat that the “free” and “zero” also apply to me.

As an example recent legislation introduced made it more difficult for the ordinary person to file for bankruptcy, no such legislation was introduced for the corporate giants. Then to add insult to injury the Federal Government assists Chrysler and GM in its bankruptcy which screwed small creditors. At the same time our glorious elected officials where doling out our precious tax payer dollars to the “too big to fail”.

The lesson in this for Ordinary Joe is that it is far better to owe a few million than a few thousand. Or put bluntly in Joe speak “if you can’t beat them, join them”. Come on now Mr. Obama, I want my piece of the pie. Did I mention that I’m not fond of the humble flavored one?

In conclusion Mr. President forget the debate over regulation and rather ponder the constitutionally correct notion of regulating every citizen as equally as the constitution deems us to be.

I’m 3/4 ways through “Girl Interrupted” and a reality is starting to set in to my denseness that the real asylum is located outside the walls of  loony bin as Susanna Kaysen describes McLean Hospital in Belmont MA. 

I mean how can so many people behave like brain dead morons on life support and then describe themselves as normal. Is it normal to buy a 3G phone and expect it to work as described in AT&T’s ads, well no not if you listened to the last line “3G not available in all areas” 

Is it normal to expect a $55 dollar charge on a $4 overdraft for one week on a Citizen Bank checking account? It’s not like Citizen Bank is a bastion of morality and fiscal fortitude. Their parent company Bank of Scotland has left a footprint of destruction in their wake in every market they are/were involved in. Ah! but, don’t you just love the phrase ”ah! but”,  it means that the opposite to reality applies. 

So, ah! but, in the case of the venerable banking industry implies that in the minds of the idiots who administer our nations affairs that a little blimp here or there is no big deal because we have “Tarp” and we have “Nama” and God knows what in Iceland to calm the raging seas of the financial storm churned up by there financial wizards in their alchemic quest to make a financial killing. 

Don’t you just hate it when you listen to this great offer on sports radio and the last line is “some restrictions apply”. That means that if you have not been a good corporate clone then don’t bother asking. 

You do know that the credit reporting agencies are a threat. Mess up and your privileges will be shut down. It’s like in the mental hospital when you act out you lose your privileges. I wonder does Donald Trump or George Bush have a credit report, or are they only for the little people, to keep them in line like cattle walking nervously to the knife. 

In Ireland, mother Ireland soon to be renamed Nama Land they used to say terms and conditions apply which mean it’s a lie. 

Nama is Ireland’s version of Fannie Mae; it is a dump for so called toxic assets. Nama is threatening to destroy the fabric of society in cash poor Ireland, a country that as little as 25 years ago was described as a third world country. It might be that again. 

What exactly are toxic assets? Well when a bank is too big to fail it’s non performing assets (loans) are taken over by the state and paid for in cash for the total outstanding amount. The bank is fully compensated for its stupidity and for the mess it made of its business and the economy. The loss between the present value of the toxic asset and the outstanding loan amount is paid for by the plebs who work for a living. 

Recently a piece of land in Athlone which is a borderline nowhere in the center of nowhere which is what Ireland really is on the financial world stage was acquired by Nama for the outstanding mortgage balance. This land had a pre crash value of 31 million Euro and a present day value of 600,000 Euro. This represents a loss of over 30 million Euro for Nama which is code for the downtrodden people of Ireland. 

Makes you wonder though doesn’t it.  Is it possible that the term “terms and conditions apply” should apply to banks that where crazy enough to lend 31 million on a piece of land that was over 5,000% overvalued. We are not talking 10% or 20% over valued, no 5,000%, read my lips 5K% overvalued. 

The question that really needs to be asked when too big to fail is being bandied about like confetti is: Are the people of Ireland or America too big to fail or is it like Leona Hensley liked to believe, that the little people’s role in everyday life is as a resource to wealth. 

The everyday people are the system, they are the economy but the trouble is that the people who run the economy are not part of it. They are like a farmer administering a herd of cattle. If the herd gets foot and mouth and has to be put down the farmer isn’t also euthanized. In most cases the people who are the economy like the cattle suffer the brunt of their masters incompetence while the master is compensated for the losses he/she caused and the rich folk live happily ever after. Some fairy tale life turns out to be.

So the next time you feel like calling someone insane look at yourself politely lining up to pay homage at the gates of hell, like a steer staring down a knife and obediently doing you duty to ensure that your master has a full plate.
